rOtation is a sound effects library built for sound design centered around things that spin. It contains nearly 200 exceptional sounds and is the first of its kind. If you’re looking for brand new sound design source material, rOtation is the ticket.
Several months of research and recording has led to this very unique collection. It’s props range from ball bearings to trash cans; magnets to fireworks; water to nuts – all in the realm of rotation.
It contains sounds of things that have never been included in a sound effects library before: The sound of a Euler’s Disk speeding up exponentially fast – the whir and chatter of Hurricane balls spinning to 5000+ RPM – Nuts and quarters zipping and buzzing by in a rumbling balloon – The power of neodymium magnets bending the tones of vibrating glass.
Need insanely powerful engine sounds? Here's the Hot Rod SFX library – and those V8 engines are really in a class of their own. Those gurgling, deeply growling power plants are fascinating when in idle mode. But when the pedal hits the metal, they unleash a raw symphony of pure and brutal power – a true pleasure for sound lovers and for those who are willing to feed those big block engines with gallons and gallons of fuel. Having captured those incomparably sounding monsters we now bring you the finest selection of their sounds in our Micro BOOM SFX Library HOT ROD – REV UPS.
We recorded various close and distant idle and rev up sounds of 14 different Hot Rods, Muscle Cars, Rat Rods and Trucks in an MS and ORTF setup. The library weighs in at 880MB in 64 files and it ships in 96kHz/24bit High Definition Audio. All sounds are royalty free, guaranteeing you best quality as always.
Let this pack be a small but powerful addition to your personal sound FX library and you will never have to search again for vigorous and shamelessly boasting engine rev up sounds.
Money is just over 21 Mb of coins and notes/bills being handled. You get 34 files in 24bit/96kHz quality. All files are UCS-compliant.
This collection contains sounds of coins being handled, counted, poured, dropped – in hands, on tables and in a cash register drawer. There are also a few sounds of bills/notes/paper money being handled and counted. The whole thing was recorded in the studio, meaning a nice, dry sound to build on. The coins and bills used were a mixture of various international currency.

Audiobeast is proud to present our first sample library; the first library of its kind to focus entirely on weapons being fired in interior spaces!
The London Warehouse Weapons Library contains over 6 GBs of weapons being fired in a large warehouse, medium warehouse, stairwell, office and small room. 291 WAV files all recorded at 96 khz 24 bit, with heaps of information on microphones used and distance from the firearms.
Various distances were captured, from the DPA4062 on the guns themselves, to the distant other end of the warehouse 50 metres away. To add, some mics were positioned behind doors and walls to capture the occluded gunfire.
As well as all the firing we’ve included all the foley as well, because while convolution reverb is great, nothing beats actual content!
Minimal cleanup on the recordings was carried out very carefully by Steve Whetman in his room at Pinewood Studios, so as not to introduce any artefacts into the recordings, they are presented as raw as possible.
Due to safety restrictions it was not possible to fire the bigger weapons in the smaller spaces, the ceiling was shaking while recording the Assault Rifle in the office and stairwell and came close to collapsing. Physically the Browning M2 .50 calibre Machine Gun would not even fit on the stairwell or in the small room.

Urban Crows is a library full of interesting sounds of single crows and swarms.
These proud birds deserve a lot more attention than they usually get. They are amazingly intelligent, social and by no means aggressive or monotonous when it comes to their communication capabilities.
The library evolved throughout winter 2015/16 and was taken from the attic of a house surrounded by trees were the crows frequently stayed overnight. So it was a great pleasure to record them arriving in the evenings as well as hearing them chatting during the dawn. They have a huge arsenal of clearly distinguishable single caws, funny sighs or nervous screams that often evolved to a huge cluster of noises that became stronger when the church bells began to ring and the sun came up.
All takes are recorded in Mid-Side stereo, with Sennheiser MKH-70 shotgun for a strong mid-signal and AKG-C394B for the ambience. The total playing time of the library is approx. 1h 30min.
A pack of forty 5.1 high-definition surround effects with a L,R,C,LFe,Ls,Rs track layout.

Get the sounds of the the Honda VTX 1300 – a distinctive cruiser motorcycle.
Its 1300cc displacement is right in the sweet spot between the zippier 750 models and the massive 1800 road warriors. This particular one was equipped with a set of custom Vance and Hines Big Shots exhaust pipes early in its life, giving it a distinctive and throaty note that can be heard up and down the highway. The VTX line is also known for its distinctive transmission, which gives a meaty ‘clunk’ with every shift.
This library is a set of recordings that were made using a combination of onboard and exterior mics at a variety of useful speeds, as well as free running on the highway. Its a smaller set, but very distinctive and useful.
We recorded multiple channels on every movement:
• Onboards consisted of Line audio CM3, Crown PZM and Sanken COS11 mics
• A handheld MKH416 rig covered bys and exteriors
After a half day of recording we had material ranging from idles and slow starts to fast bys and highway runs.

SoundBits “Cinematic Hits & Transitions 2“ description:
The Cinematic Hits and Transitions 2 sound effects library from SoundBits delivers 222 cinematic, epic, heavy, impacts and hits – ranging from very deep, earthshaking hits, to brutally distorted and mangled impacts. Some are dry, some with extra huge reverbs, others get you an instant attack while some come with a build-up for that extra tension. Lots of starts and tails of the sounds can be combined with each other to give you even more.
But that’s not all. There are also 111 scary, haunting, unsettling and weird transitions and movements that instantly give you goosbumps and add that extra suspense for your productions. Lots of new sounds were recorded and got merged with existing SoundBits | Sound Effects. This fusion got mangled, crushed, edited and designed to create this cinematic experience.
An onslaught of movement and force using various granularities of dirt-like substances. It’s all in the name. Dirty, gravelly, and ragged.
In this library you will find a myriad of gritty movement sounds derived from 4 different granularities: Course, Medium, Fine, and Ultrafine. There are sweeps, smears, crushes, scatterings, drops, scrapes, rubs, and more, with multiple variations of each. The assets chain together particularly well so that you can use them to make long continuous runs.
The timbre and dynamics of these sounds lend them to be used for many different designs than just scrapes and scratches, such as movement in snow or sand, powerful bursts, high energy flames, shifting heavy objects, large beast vocalizations (dragons, anyone?), and more. As well, their metadata is organized conveniently to allow you to grab chunks of variations on similar movements and drop them into your favorite audio implementation software for quick assignment to random containers or sequences for an asset or call.
This library will almost always find itself being thrown into a creative media project one way or another. Its full of a particular cornerstone sound that is essential to any sounds designer’s toolbox. And with such a variety and versatility to explore, we promise it will serve you well.

An ample collection of exterior pass bys, starts, and stop recordings on pavement, gravel, and dry lake bed are included. Speeds range from 5MPH to 80MPH from only running on the electric motor/battery pack, to pushing the Prius’ gas engine towards its max. A Sound Effect is a great asset to have discovered.
We found the site very easy to navigate, purchasing and downloads were effortless and the effects themselves are awesome! Asbjoern has done us all a great service.
We’ll definitely be back!
There are many great independent sound effect libraries available these days. The main problem with having so many, is keeping track of them!
A Sound Effect is a great hub, and is one of the first places I visit to look for sounds by category or genre. I started coming here to see if I could find libraries that I knew I had heard, but forgot WHERE I had heard them.
And in the process discovered libraries I never would have found otherwise. Great work! Keep it up!
We're always looking for new sounds to mangle, so when A Sound Effect had a holiday sale, I tried them out.
The purchase experience is really smooth and quick, and delivery is almost instant.
I'll definitely come back to them again in the future!
A Sound Effect is a wonderful resource for indie sound effects libraries. On top of that, it has some of the finest sound design, film and game audio interviews!
I often need very specific types of sounds so I've become a big supporter of independent recorders.
Until now I've always had to go to their individual websites. Now I can find them all in one place.
And, Asbjoern is great to work with!
A Sound Effect is a well curated boutique sound effects shop and a great place to find industry interviews and learning resources.
