    The Rare Animals library from Pro Sound Effects is a collection of unique animal sounds from field recordings around the world. They have been meticulously edited and mastered for cross-industry sound design usage from games to mobile/interactive and traditional film/broadcast.

    The Rare Animals sound effects library was built from one principal aim: To find, nurture and release rare animal sound effects into the wild. Pro Sound Effects sourced the nature catalogs and archives from its existing global partners for the rarest field recordings, the most unusual of which were hand-selected by Brooklyn Sound Society‘s Neil Benezra to remaster and restore. This collection of animal effects was edited and optimized for game and interactive industries in mind, so most are shorter, trigger-able sounds.     This classic vehicle is drawn by two horses and produces mostly clank and rattle of wood and metal. You can also hear some leather creaks and the horses’ hooves and breaths. Occasionally the driver beatboxes some cues – clucking, smacking, monosyllables.

    Some of the files contain solely the rattle of the rolling carriage but no horses – these can be used for sound designing any old vehicle on a bumpy road.

    This selection of onboard sounds contains a variety of speeds, horse gaits and road surfaces. They have been recorded with the Sennheiser Ambeo VR Mic, and, simultaneously, with two stereo sets. For each recording you get 10 channels:

    – ambiX B-format (4 channels)
    – Stereo XY (Audio-Technica BP4025)

  • Animal Sound Effects Eurasian Mammals – Dormouse, Boar and more Play Track 250+ sounds included $83

    This library features a fine selection of Eurasian Mammals. The animals have been recorded both, in the wild and at animal care centres across Germany.

    The most prominent and unique animal sounds in this library are probably squeaky juvenille garden dormice, grunting boar and sniffing hedgehog.

    Also impressive recordings from deer rut are included and close up and very clean recordings from various bats, both flight calls and sounds during feeding.

    There are plenty of rodents and other animals, check the list at the end of the text or the file list for an even more detailed overview.

    Many of the recorded animals called in the ultra frequent range and have been recorded at 192kHz with microphones like the Earthworks QTC50, that go well beyond 90kHz. These noises are perfect for pitching and other sound design, I included some slowed down sounds as examples.
