  • Cold Weapon Sound Effects Medieval Armour Play Track 62 sounds included $54

    Prepare for battle!

    This library comprises recordings of authentic medieval armour and its interaction with various period weapons. Spotlighted is a selection of battle-ready ringing impacts and metallic handling sounds.

    Using a multi-mic configuration (comprising the Sennheiser MKH50 and Røde NTG-3) our Audio Craftsmen captured a sword, hammer, spear and spear handle, warhammer beak, hammer and spearhead, hand AKA Dane axe, and battle axe make contact with chainmail and a Norman steel helm. Movement performed whilst wearing a chainmail shirt, sundry chainmail jingling, general handling of the steel helm and dropping the helm are also included in this library.

    These meticulously edited sounds are ideal for Film, TV, game and documentary projects featuring plate armour, helmets and chainmail – as well as more abstract applications such as placing an artillery turret in an army-building game. Inject some force and texture into your medieval action with this library!

    Sound have been separated into the following categories:

    Chainmail Impacts: Medieval weapons stabbing, striking and hitting a chainmail shirt.

    Chainmail Movement: Manipulation of chainmail shirt both on and off our Foley artist. Includes the sound of footsteps performed at various speeds, cleaning the chainmail by scrubbing it in sand, and taking the chainmail shirt off.

    Steel Helm Impacts: Medieval weapons stabbing, striking and scraping the steel helm.

    Steel Helm Movement: General handling of the steel helm, as well as dropping the helm onto earth, sand and a wooden floor.

    Each file contains multiple takes of the named action.

    This library of a 1992 Dominator 88 SL Maxi contains multiple tracks of interior, onboard and exterior passbys, start-stops, idle, revs, constant loops at various RPM, acceleration and deceleration ramps for use in granular synthesis tools, as well as foley.

    This library features an industry standard roaster, a bean destoner, antique hand grinders, modern electro grinders, coffee makers, milk frothers, espresso machines, a french press, plenty of beans and much more.     Of course it serves all your barista needs, be it in the household or in a café. But in a addition it is a fantastic sound design tool to create all kind of machinery from steam punk to futuristic motors. It also is very valuable for musicians, with a fantastic selection of roasted & green espresso beans poured, shaken and dropped on various surfaces. From a single bean to thousands of beans. Makes great percussion sounds.

    Most recording session have been in my studio, but I also visited a roasting plant, where I was able to record various machines across the stages of roasting and packing coffee.

    Some extra recordings are pouring of coffee and milk or destroying an old caffee machine.

    Mics used: Earthworks QTC50 (records up 90kHz, linear up to 50kHz), Neumann KMR81i, Schoeps MK41, DPA 4061, Brauner Phantom, Shure SM57, Contact, EMF, Lewitt 540s (very quiet for single beans dropping on the floor).

    I had some projects that needed coffee maker sounds in the past. And while there is a fantastic library with antique grinders from “The Soundcatcher” and some libraries with a Espresso Machine or a Coffee Machine, I was missing one that combines all of these sounds up to dropping a sugar cube into the coffee. So i created it myself and here it is.
